4-Day Gorilla Trekking Safari
A four-day immersive journey combining wildlife, culture, and conservation. Explore Kigali’s vibrant cityscape, trek to see gorillas and golden monkeys, and walk in the footsteps of Dian Fossey.
Upon arrival in Kigali, our representative will warmly welcome you. Begin your adventure with a city tour, visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial and exploring local markets and craft villages. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before taking a scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park. Check into your lodge or hotel near the park and relax for the evening.
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing. Trek through the rainforest to locate a habituated gorilla family and spend up to one hour observing them. After lunch, visit the Gorilla Guardian Village for a cultural experience featuring traditional music, dance, and crafts.
Begin the day with breakfast, then head out for golden monkey trekking. Observe these energetic primates for up to one hour in the forest. After lunch, visit the Ellen Campus to learn about conservation and community development efforts in the region.
After breakfast, embark on a guided hike to the Dian Fossey Tomb, learning about her legacy in gorilla conservation. Enjoy lunch at the lodge before your return drive to Kigali. Depending on your flight time, enjoy some final shopping or city exploration. Transfer to Kigali International Airport for departure or optional overnight stay.
