Our Clients Say!!!

"Isaac is the best guide in Rwanda! We are from the United States and we helped to start REAO, an environmental education NGO in Rwanda 15 years ago. Isaac was in one of our first training sessions, and he was a star student from the beginning! Isaac is well equipped to lead tours throughout Rwanda. He has always been the most popular guide with our students, teachers, and ministry representatives. Isaac has an intimate knowledge of the land, the animals, and the history of the parks. He is an excellent communicator, and is able to convey detailed information with skill and humor. Further, he speaks several languages and is fluent in English, French, and Mandarin. You cannot go wrong with Isaac as your guide!"

"I had the pleasure of going on a guided safari of Akagera National Park with Isaac of Big Cat Safaris and it was an amazing experience! Isaac has incredible knowledge of the wildlife in the park and he was able to quickly spot and identify animals from great distances away. He also knew exactly where certain animals liked to hang out and we would often find ourselves as the only vehicle at locations surrounded by wildlife. We saw giraffes, elephants, lions, hyenas, hippos, bushbuck, waterbuck, and entire herds of zebra, impala, and water buffalo. We even had a close encounter with a large bull elephant that would have been scary had we not been in the expert hands of Isaac, who was able to safely maneuver us away from him. I highly recommend Isaac and Big Cat Safaris to anyone looking to go on a safari in Rwanda. Their expertise is unmatched."

"My name is Riok, I am 17 years old and I live in Kigali. In February 2024, I had an internship at Akagera National Park. During this internship focused on conservation of wildlife in the park, Isaac was not just a guide but a cornerstone of my experience. His kindness, passion, and tracking skills made him an invaluable companion throughout my internship. Isaac's genuine care for my well-being went beyond duty, exemplified by his thoughtful gestures like driving 3 hours outside the park to give me medicine when I fell ill. His passion for wildlife was infectious, he answered all my questions and helped me understand a lot about conservation of wildlife. His expertise as a tracker led us to remarkable wildlife encounters : lions, élephants, rhinos, hippos, hyenas… He can really track them all! enriching my understanding of the park's inhabitants. In essence, Isaac's guidance was instrumental in shaping my conservation journey in Akagera. I really recommend without a doubt to choose Isaac as a guide for your visit to Rwanda. He truly is the Best guide out there."

"We received Issac’s contact from a friend of a friend. Upon initial contact, he was responsible, timely, and proposed fair prices. Our 1 day tour began with his prompt arrival to our hotel at 5am and an explanation of the days itinerary. We later stopped at cafe for a quick breakfast and roadside stand for bananas that would maintain our energy for the rest of the day. Once in the park, we were given options for region of the park, animals we wanted to see, and lunch location. Issac was responsive to our questions and interests and tried his best to show us as many species of animals a fauna as possible. Highlights included the multiple elephant sitings, scenic lunch, and a quest to find lions(though unsuccessful). If you are looking for an experienced guide go with this company! In the future we hope to book him for another adventure."
